Brewing Tea is an art. The tearoom itself becomes an intimate gallery space, dimly lit with soft natural lighting. Various meticulously hand crafted objects, each one bespoke and forms a precise composition within this space. The ritual of making tea is an exquisite performance piece, with each movement rehearsed and choreographed to the finest detail, while at the same time leaving room for natural spontaneity. In a sense the Tearoom becomes a stage and all participants plays a role in this precious ritual. Finally the tea itself, a result of tireless dedication by artisan growers. Simply leaves plucked and handled with the utmost care and attention, a tradition handed down from generation to generation. As the leaves are combined with water, it forms an elaborate narrative and becomes a result of a collaboration between various skilled craftsman and artisans. A culmination of centuries of history and also the work of the tea master which orchestrates all of these elements into a single cup of tea.
